We support field leading work across science, advocacy, policy, consumer engagement, and innovation.

UCSF Program on Reproductive Health and the Environment (PHRE)

UCSF’s PHRE is setting the standard in research linking chemical exposure to reproductive harm, hormone disruption, and cancer. Their studies have led directly to landmark policy victories, including statewide bans on toxic flame retardants, endocrine disruptors, and PFAS in food packaging. Their research continues to influence national chemical safety legislation.

Toxic-Free Future

TFF has influenced the passage of some of the nation’s toughest chemical safety laws, protecting millions from exposure to hazardous chemicals in their homes and communities. They are working towards a healthy system and building the coalition to get there. Their advocacy and Mind the Store campaigns have forced companies like Home Depot, Lowe’s, and REI to eliminate PFAS-containing products from their shelves, prompting broader industry change.

Project TENDR

Project TENDR unites top neuroscientists, pediatricians, and public health experts to protect children's brain development from toxic chemicals. Their influential studies have led directly to stronger EPA regulations on lead, flame retardants, and phthalates, profoundly reducing childhood exposure and improving lifelong health outcomes.

ChemSec

ChemSec’s SIN List (Substitute It Now) is the gold standard for identifying hazardous chemicals. Used by investors and leading corporations globally, this database has driven over 1,000 major companies to eliminate toxic chemicals, substantially transforming industrial supply chains and elevating corporate transparency.

Clearya

Clearya empowers millions of consumers to avoid toxic chemicals through real-time ingredient transparency. Its widely adopted browser extension and mobile app have successfully pressured numerous global retailers into reformulating products, removing hazardous chemicals, and increasing product safety standards industry-wide.
